Terms of service

1. The service

ManuelPOS is software for running a business: point of sale, bookings, stock, staff, reports and a public page for your customers. It works in a web browser and can be installed on phones, tablets and computers.

Some features need an internet connection, such as syncing between devices, reports from other devices and your public booking page. The till keeps working offline and uploads sales when the connection returns.

2. Your account

The person who creates the business account is its owner and is responsible for who they invite and what role each person has. Keep sign-in details private and tell us straight away if you think someone has misused your account.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the prices, taxes and records you enter, and for meeting your own tax and business obligations.

3. Free trial

New businesses can use ManuelPOS free for 14 days. No payment details are needed for the trial.

4. Fees, licence and renewal

After the trial, ManuelPOS is licensed for a fee agreed between your business and Manuel Technologies, usually a one-time setup and licence fee followed by a yearly renewal that covers cloud hosting, data storage, updates and support. The agreed amounts are shown on your Billing page.

Fees are paid by Mobile Money to the number shown on your Billing page, using your business's web address as the reference. Your licence is switched on or renewed once we confirm the payment.

If a renewal is late, everything keeps working for 7 days. With a one-time licence, the till keeps selling after that, but cloud sync, remote reports and your public page pause until you renew; sales made meanwhile stay on your devices and upload once renewed. With an annual licence, new sales pause after the grace period until you renew. Your records are not deleted because of a late renewal.

Fees already paid are not refundable unless we agree otherwise in writing or the law requires it.

5. Payments from your customers

Money your customers pay goes directly to your own MoMo, bank or cash accounts. Manuel Technologies never holds or handles your takings and is not a party to your sales. You are responsible for checking that payments have arrived before handing over goods or services.

6. Your customers' information

You decide what customer information to record and you must have a lawful reason to record it and to message your customers, including on WhatsApp. Our privacy policy explains how we handle that information on your behalf.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use ManuelPOS for anything illegal, to send spam, to try to access another business's information, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend an account that does, after warning you where possible.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep ManuelPOS available and your records safe, but no online service can promise to be available all the time. We may need to pause the service briefly for maintenance and will try to do that outside busy hours.

Support is provided on WhatsApp and by phone during reasonable working hours.

9. Your records and leaving

Your business records belong to your business. Reports can be exported to Excel and PDF at any time. If you stop using ManuelPOS, ask us and we will provide an export of your records before closing the account.

10. Liability

ManuelPOS is provided to help you run your business, but you remain responsible for your business decisions, prices, taxes and cash. To the extent the law allows, Manuel Technologies is not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it.

11. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell account owners in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
